Custom 9mm on a Les Baer frame and slide

Here is a complete build on a brand new frame and slide from Les Baer. The barrel is a 6" Nolin supported ramp, cut and crowned for a suppressor. You'll notice the one of a kind thread cap for the end of the barrel for use without the suppressor. I made this specially for the customer and there is not another one like it - yet. The front sight is a fiber optic that I made from a sight blank with a Yost Professional rear sight. Ejection port was lowered, flared, and a live round extraction cut added for the nose of a live round to clear. The slide was beveled at the bottom with ball cuts added toward the front. Finish was done by Drakes Gun Works and is a beautiful example of what Melonite should be.

Custom Colt Delta Elite

Here is a Custom Colt Delta Elite with Esmeralda grips. The list of parts and options include Yost sights, Grieder Trigger, checkered frontstrap with border on the bottom. The top of the slide was flattened with a diamond flare point. Ball cuts, dehorned, and a mild round butt applied on the mainspring housing and lower frame. There is a new Kart barrel and bushing, new ignition components, and a deep blue with 500 grit polished flats and matte rounds.

Custom Caspian Titanium

Here is a Caspian frame, one of the last ones that Caspian sold. I was pretty happy to have been able to pick this one up since they are not producing them for a while. The list of parts used are Kart Barrel and bushing, Doug Koenig Hammer, Cylinder and Slide sear and disconnector, 2 Ed Brown Extractors (one for spare that's fitted), Grieder Trigger, Miller Custom Mainspring Housing, Ed Brown Grip Safety, Ed Brown Ejector, EGW Firing Pin Stop, Miller Custom Front Sight, Heinie Rear Sight, Ed Brown Tactical Mag Release, Ed Brown Tactical Thumb Safe, Larry Davidson Half Hog grips.

Options include the following.... I like to cut my own Cocking Serrations (beats cleaning them up if they get damaged in shipping and such), Lightening cuts, Checkered 25 LPI, Magazine Well Beveled and Polished, Finger Relief Under Trigger Guard, Ball Cuts on Slide, Serrate Rear of Slide, lower and Flare Ejection Port with Live Round Extraction Cut, Flat Top and Diamond Serrations, and my own Staggered Borders.

Finish is Black T and Hard Chrome with Tripp Carbonized rails.

Rock River frame/Caspian slide

A Personal Custom of mine

A customer graciously gave me a lightweight Colt Officers frame and I did a quick build on it using a lot of extra parts I had in the shop with a few new ones. I fitted it with a Caspian slide with my custom cocking serrations, Browning High Power cuts, Yost rear sight, Kart barrel, and Cylinder and Slide Hammer.

I'll try to post better pictures later.

Springfield Armory Custom

Here is a simple rebuild on a Springfield Armory WW Stainless. All the factory chrome parts were replaced with stainless parts for a better, more uniform color. The frontstrap is serrated in the diamond point pattern. I straightened the frame lines, added the freedom border, serrated the rear of the slide, and an action job.

Custom Stainless Colt Commander Series 80

List of upgrades are: 10-8 Trigger and rear sight, SDM gold bead front sight, Cylinder and Slide hammer, sear, and disconnector. 30LPI checkering front and back, Ed Brown Tactical thumb safety and mag catch, Ed Brown beavertail (memory groove removed), and new Wolff springs. Options include rear slide serrations, straightened frame lines, freedom borders, lowering and flaring the ejection port, and flat topped with diamond "flare point" serrations.

Stainless Colt Series 80 XSE

List of upgrades are: Action job, Bevel and Polish Magwell, Checker at 30LPI, fit Kart Barrel and EGW bushing, Ed Brown Beavertail, Miller Custom Mainspring Housing (30 LPI), Greider Trigger, Tactical Thumb Safety, weld the front sight pocket before Flat Topping and Serrating, re-cut the front sight dovetail and install a Miller Custom front sight, The frame and slide was bead blasted and the sides brushed polished with a high polished barrel hood.

Colt .38 Super Series 80

List of upgrades are: Kart barrel and bushing, dovetailed front sight, Bomar rear sight, 30 LPI checkering, Ed Brown tactical thumb safety, rear serrations, flatten slide stop and chamfer hole, lower and flare ejection port, and an action job. The pistol was bead blasted and polished with 500 grit polish before bluing. Parts include a Miller Custom mainspring housing checkered at 30 LPI, Cylinder and Slide hammer and sear, Grieder trigger, and an Ed Brown mag catch.

Custom Kimber

Here is a few pictures of a Kimber that was just refinished along with a few upgrades. After fitting the Ed Brown Memory Groove beavertail, I found out that Kimber likes to mix stainless and carbon steel parts. This posed a problem when trying to Parkarize the setup. All parts that didn't take were Teflon coated by my refinishing shop. The refinisher does a "Crinkle Teflon" that is very hard to tell the difference between Pararizing and the Teflon.
